How this site makes money
PokerTournaments101 is free to read and carries no paywall. It is funded by affiliate commission. When you open an account with a poker operator through a link on this site, that operator pays us a share of the rake and tournament fees you generate, or a one off referral fee. You never pay more, and the offer you receive is the same one you would get by going to the operator directly.
Every link that earns us money is marked as an advertisement where it appears, and carries the rel="sponsored" attribute in the page source.

How commission affects our reviews
It affects which operators we review, because we can only write in detail about rooms we have access to. It does not affect what we say about them. Ratings, the Fish Factor score, and the listed drawbacks are set before any commercial discussion and are not shared with operators for approval. No operator has editorial input, right of reply prior to publication, or the ability to remove criticism from a review.
Commission rates differ between operators. We do not rank by payout, and where a higher paying room is worse for a given player we say so.
