GGPoker Review 2026: Ocean Rewards, WSOP Online & Rake Deep-Dive

GGPoker is the largest online poker site in the world by traffic, and since parent company NSUS acquired the WSOP brand in 2024, it is also the only place to play bracelet events online. It runs over 200,000 concurrent connections, hosts the GG World Festival at $250M guaranteed annually, and generates more rake than any other single network.

That scale cuts both ways. More traffic means more game selection and faster fills; it also means strong regulars at mid-stakes and a loyalty system sophisticated enough to quietly redirect value away from winning players toward recreationals. This review covers everything a tournament or cash player needs to evaluate whether GGPoker belongs in their rotation.

Rake Structure

GGPoker collects rake on preflop pots over 2.5BB — unusual in the industry and adds up across any session with a high three-bet frequency.

GGPoker charges 5% rake on NLH and PLO cash games with one notable distinction from most sites: rake is collected on pots that exceed 2.5 big blinds, including preflop. A three-bet pot that gets folded out before the flop still generates rake. At a full table with a high three-bet frequency, this accumulates meaningfully over a session.

PLO caps are less favorable than NLH at mid-stakes: $15 at $2/$5 and $5/$10, which is high relative to the pots typical in those games. Tournament rake runs approximately 10%, plus an admin fee around 0.5% on prize pools in major events.

Beatability assessment: Micro-stakes NLH takes a disproportionate hit from caps relative to pot size. Mid-stakes NLH ($1/$2 to $2/$5) represents the rake structure at its most competitive. PLO players at mid-stakes face a meaningfully heavier rake burden than the NLH equivalent.

Ocean Rewards: How the Loyalty Programme Works

The complication is the Player Value Index (PVI): a background calculation GGPoker has not published in full, which redistributes rewards toward recreational players and away from high-winrate regulars. The practical consequence is that a winning player's effective rakeback sits below whatever tier percentage they have nominally reached.

WSOP Partnership and Tournament Schedule

GGPoker is the only platform where you can win a WSOP bracelet online — no other site can offer this.

NSUS's acquisition of WSOP rights in 2024 made GGPoker the only legitimate online home of the World Series of Poker. The WSOP Online runs each August and September with 33 bracelet events and a total guarantee around $63M. The $5,000 Main Event carries a $25M guarantee and historically over-fields, generating closer to $30M in actual prize pool.

Multi-tabling performance holds reasonably well up to 8-10 tables; above that, lower-end machines may show slowdowns.

Cash game volume grinders who run high winrates, rely on HUD data, or play PLO at mid-stakes will find the combination of PVI dilution, the HUD ban, and PLO rake caps a meaningful tax on hourly rate. For those players, a site with transparent flat rakeback and tracker support is more profitable.
